John Carter received his Masters degree in Architecture in 2004 and has been operating his own design studio since 2003. He has 16 years of Design and Drafting experience, and undergraduate degrees in Industrial Design and Computer Aided Drafting Technologies. John now focuses his energy on Residential Design.
John began his design education in Boise Idaho in 1993 where he earned his first degree at ITT Technical Institute in Computer Aided Drafting Technologies, he then moved to Salt Lake City where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design also at ITT. While attending school in Salt Lake City, John was employed by Nichols Naylor Architects from 1996 to 2001 preparing construction documents for Retail, Restaurant, and Low Rise Office Building projects. John decided to pursue his passion for Architecture after his experience at Nichols Naylor and was accepted to the Master of Architecture program at Newschool of Architecture and Design in San Diego Ca. in 2001.
While attending school in San Diego, John began working on freelance design projects. Those projects eventually led to a full time endeavor.
